If you visit NYC, Dudley’s is a must-try for any meal of the day. With dishes such as the Bronte Burger and Ricotta Hot Cakes, the popular brunch spot is inspired by satisfying Australian meals. When I visited for brunch on a Saturday, the place was already packed with locals, students, tourists, couples, families... you get the idea. It’s for everyone! Not only are the prices fairly reasonable for Manhattan, but the portions are also generous.

Smoked Salmon Benedict | Dudley's, 85 Orchard St

Since Dudley’s was a spontaneous visit, we weren’t fully prepared for what we wanted to try. Nevertheless— with a decent appetite—we ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and matcha latte.

The matcha latte arrived first. It was creamy and just the light-hitting caffeine I was craving on a Saturday morning. I was thinking about a lox bagel when I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict which came with poached eggs and smoked salmon on an English muffin, and salsa verde, hollandaise, and greens on the side. And finally, the Fried Chicken Sandwich came with pickles, spicy mayo sauce, and coleslaw in a sesame seed bun. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations.

Dudley's is not the only brunch option in the neighborhood- there are others including Sunday to Sunday, Russ and Daughters Cafe, and Good Thanks Cafe. Nearby are many small businesses, bookstores, boutiques, and restaurants worth the visit. Some places include the International Center of Photography Museum, David Owens Vintage Clothing, Davelle, and so much more.
